Student-Led Lunchtime Tutor Group

The lunchtime student-led tutor group is very popular.  The younger students just love learning from our older students.  The lunchtime tutor group was a student voice initiative and is going from strength to strength. It just one of the many lunchtime activities on offer, such as; Code Club, Tennis, Dance, Library, Art Club.  This one and the year 3 jewellery making club are both student-led, adding to the voice agency of students across the school.  Special thank you to the jewellery making club who made me some lovely jewellery which I've been wearing all week.  It was heart-warming to receive these this week!

Year 2 Poetry

A group of students from 2N came to visit me this afternoon.  They delighted me with their superb poetry and George's Share and Learn Project.  They all spoke extremely confidently with sophisticated vocabulary and their knowledge of how to turn prose to poetry was outstanding. I was so impressed that I felt they should share at assembly on Monday!

That's OUTRAGEOUS!

Firstly, what is That’s Outrageous? That’s Outrageous is student run newspaper previously exclusive to Grade 6. However, now, after the principal and vice principal’s approval, we are now preparing to expand it and sell it to raise money for the school.

This week, we have made it free so you can have a taste of That’s Outrageous. Then we aim to sell it (it will need to cover printing costs)...

However, we cannot write a newspaper for the entire school without help. Currently, we have fourteen people writing, interviewing, and editing, but, as we are expanding to the whole school, we need more volunteers.
