Our 5/6 students, along with some of our year 4 students recently participated in the SSA footy and netball competition. This year the footy team had to navigate a whole new set of rules, playing the modified SSV version of 9 v 9 football. It was a challenge for them but they did a great job and although they didn't come away with a win, we are very proud of the way they played and conducted themselves. Our girls netball team did a great job, coming up against some very strong competition. Again, although they didn't get a win, we are very proud of the sportsmanship demonstrated by all on the day. Our mixed netball team had a successful day and came away undefeated. A fantastic effort by the whole team. They will now go on to represent the SSA district at the division event next week. We wish them all the best of luck!

Yesterday, our students were visited by Samantha from St John Ambulance Australia. Students learnt about the importance of first aid and what to do in the event of an emergency. Different year levels looked at different topics with interactive games, storytime and action plan scenarios used to engage the students.
