Illness & headlice reminder

We have had numerous illnesses and a number of cases of headlice reported across the whole school in recent weeks.

Please ensure you keep your child home if unwell and reinforce good hygiene with your children. Please take the time to inspect your child's head for headlice too.

Please refer to the School exclusion table for primary schools and children's services | health.vic.gov.au for when students can return.

We understand that it can be a hard decision to know when to send your child to school or keep them home. Every situation is individual and every child has different needs. Attendance is important, but it is essential that the students feel well enough to be able to learn and participate in school.

Wet weather - spare clothes

With the wet weather finally here, a reminder to put a spare change of clothes in your child's bag in case they get dirty. We do have spares in the office but these are limited.

Dental Van

A reminder for those who returned consent forms, the Dental Health van will be coming to Ceres in week 10.

The dental van will provide free oral health examinations and follow-up treatment when necessary to all students where appropriate consent is provided. This includes teeth cleaning, fluoride applications, fillings and any other non-cosmetic, follow-up treatments. Parents will be given a report overview of their oral health after the visit.

If you have not returned the consent form, your child will not be seen.

SSB reminder

Any funds remaining after 30 June 2025, including online voucher amounts that have not been redeemed, will become a credit to use on school activities. However, the credit will not be available on your family account at our school until late July.

To use any remaining SSB funds to cover the cost of school activities in July, please refer to the SSB online system and allocate the funds to school activities before 30 June 2025.

Moriac Kinder donations

Moriac Pre-school is holding its annual Moriac Spring Fete this October as a way to raise funds for their kindergarten. The Fete has a focus on reducing, reusing and recycling. As a part of their fundraising efforts, they will have a pre loved stall specifically of kids toys, board games, puzzles and costumes.

They are seeking donations of these items in good working condition.

We have a tub available in the office for any donations for Moriac Kinder - please bring these along before the end of June!
