Garden

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

❤️GROWING TOGETHER❤️

🌻PRIDE of PLACE🌻

😱The race that stops a nation 🐽🏆, building a bridge 😊 and Wednesday yoga 🙏💜

The preparations for ‘The race that stops a nation’ is in full swing. On the last day of term we will be live streaming a guinea pig race into the classrooms of St Louis 🥳. Eight power packed pigs punching above their weight (some a little overweight…..Swifty 🫢) to see who is the fastest. The students have been designing a track, podium, diets and a strict training regime to get them all peaking for race day. Power to the people and pigs I say 💪!

🎥Mr Wood ❤️ is working tirelessly to get the race live-streamed into every classroom. 💜Nella is working hard to make sure we have a commentator for the race. Thanks, Nell 🙏. It’s going to be huge like never before 🤗🤯.

A big shout out to 😇Thea, Izzy and LuLu😇 for the guinea pig profiles. We will feature two a week in the newsletter leading up to the race.

SMUDGE (Lulu is holding her) - Smudge has cute little eyes and beautiful golden locks of hair. Her favourite food is dry leaves 🍁. She hates stalks 🤢.

Form guide says definite winner of fashions on the field 😍, no chance to win the race 🤪.

Swifty (snuggling into Izzy) - Swifty has big brown eyes and is sporting a caramel, white and golden coat. She is a greedy eater but doesn’t eat as fast as Smudge 😂.

Form guide says she’s both good on and off the track. Definite top three chance in the race and fashions on the field. A beautiful coat 🔥.

Check out the crowds on race day training. The excitement and anticipation are definitely building 🤩.

🦆Our ducks and chooks will be in the birdcage on raceday. Here they are just soaking up the atmosphere with our trusty team 🐔. ‘The race that stops a nation’…..stay tuned for more information 🤯🤩😇🐽.

❤️Liam, Calvin and Eli🙏 have taken to building bridges in our fairy garden. I’ve had to build a few in my time too. Have you 🤔? Great job boys. I love your work. 💪You are superstars 🤩.

😇Jonah, our garden leader, is helping them. He always leads by example. He shows consistency, commitment, loyalty, compassion, empathy and care in all that he does. The school is blessed to have him 👏.

💜Wednesday morning yoga for years three to six starting this Wednesday, 7.50 am. Parents are encouraged to join. Yoga mats provided. 🌈A great way to have some time to relax, rejuvenate and ripple some good vibes out into the world💜. I can’t wait 🙏.

🐔 If anyone is interested in helping look after the animals over the holidays, please get in touch with me foverberg@stlouisaspendale.com or pop down to the garden for a chat 🐢.
