 the right to feel safe.

The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people

is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

St Louis de Montfort is Celebrating 60 years

Good afternoon families

I hope you have not fallen to the cold that is going around at the moment. It seems to have hit every second person and staying around for much too long.

I am going on LSL for the next 3 weeks. I am heading off to Japan on a cruise with my husband, sister and brother -in- law. Michelle Barron will be in charge of the school in my absence.

Little Long Walk

Thank you to Mrs Traynor and the F.I.R.E Carriers for organising this year’s Little Long Walk. It is now such a wonderful event on the school calendar. It is a really important opportunity to talk about racism and the effect this has on our families, school community, society. Please take the time to talk in your family about racist comments and kindness to each all.

Division Cross Country results

Congratulations to our students who have been successful in moving to the next stage of the Cross- country competition. Good luck to Lachlan M, Zane N, Madison M, Rhys F, Alyssa B for the next race. Congratulations to all the 12 students who competed and we were awarded the 2nd best performed school

School Closure Day – Friday 6 June

The school is closed on Friday 6 June. The staff from St Louis and St Brigid’s will be participating in a Religious Education professional learning day with Father Rob Galea.

Confirmation Commitment mass

This weekend all Year 6 students who will be making their Confirmation are expected to attend a commitment mass this weekend at either St Louis ( 6 pm Saturday or 9.30 am Sunday ) or at St Brigid’s.( 8 am or 11 am Sunday )

Yoga Club

We have stopped the running club for the winter and replaced it with Frank’s Yoga Club. All students and families are welcome to attend on a Wednesday morning in the multipurpose room at 7.50am. We have some yoga mats but they are not necessary for your participation.

WOW

Walk or wheel to school is still continuing on a Wednesday. It has been fantastic to see so many students on wheels or walking to school. Collectively the Year 5 level have been the strongest cohort over the last few weeks. We only have 3 weeks left of the challenges so any class could still win the Golden Boot  Thank you to the Year 6 leadership team for continuing drive in supporting all the classes to participate.

Enjoy your weekend

I will be back at school on Monday 23 May.
