Parents and Friends Association Report:                  25 June 2024

Well, what an amazing semester for PFA fundraising!

Our College has for many years become well known for our Performing Arts Program and the Five Star musicals that have been produced and enjoyed by our community.  Our musicals are always a significant investment for the college and this semester the 2024 musical Little Shop of Horrors has become our fundraising focus and after a discussion with the Director of performing Arts our “PFA engine room” as born.

This led to the PFA team drawing on all available resources and connections, personal and professional, to ensure success on the night, resulting in PFA hosting the (adults only) Trivia Night held on Friday 24 May 2024, raising over $4000 for the Performing Arts program, the evening was clearly the single most successful event since PFA commenced in late 2022.

We look forward to enjoying Little Shop of Horrors later this year in Term 3.

In addition to the Trivia Night, we recently drew our online raffle (winners announced below), raising over $2000 to also add to the Performing Arts program.

Together, resulting in an amazing over $6000 in total for the Performing Arts program and supporting the Little Shop of Horrors musical next term.

The equipment we purchase will also support future Performance Arts programs and musicals.

These events demonstrated the amazing community spirit we have at BSC and when we work together with a common goal, anything can be achieved – Nothing is impossible.

The success of this event is a tribute to the many volunteers working countless hours on this project, a massive thank you is due to the following:
