Fundraising Goal for 2024: big screen and speakers under Gumbuya
We hope that you’re managing to keep warm during this extremely cold snap we seem to be having - it’s certainly cold!
We have had a busy month with lots of preparations and planning underway for our fundraising for the remainder of this year. Here is an update on what’s happening:
Subway Special Lunch - Thursday 6th June
Thank you to everyone who ordered lunch. We hope your children enjoyed it and you enjoyed not having to get up and sort the lunchboxes out again! We raised a total $514.10 towards our screen and sound system.
Parents & Friends Meeting - Friday 14th June

School Disco - Thursday 27th June
Tickets for the school disco are on sale and this year's theme is all things is crazy hair! Go wild and come along and have some fun. Tickets are $8 and include photos and are available to purchase via Compass.
Further details regarding drop off and pick up will be sent out shortly via Compass.
We also need volunteers for the event too to help supervise the children. Please note that children from the previous/ next disco session cannot attend the disco whilst you’re supervising.
Community Cookbook 2024
Thank you to everyone who has been patient with this - we have unfortunately suffered some delays due to work commitments (remember we’re only volunteers here, lol). We now have recipes which are excellent and the book is starting to take shape. We are pleased to confirm (although slightly delayed) we will be starting pre-orders for this in the middle of term 3 with distribution happening early Term 4. We will provide further update in early term 3.
Trivia Night - Friday 9th August
We hope that you have got your babysitters booked for our much loved Adult only social evening!
The team have been busy working in the background sourcing silent auction prizes, but we still need a few more. If you own a business and can donate a product or service please get in touch with the school who can contact us.
Remember every bit of profit we make goes towards the screen and sound system under Gumbuya which only benefits the children and their learning environment.
Details of how to book your tickets and secure your seat at this event will be out on Compass in the next few weeks.
Father’s/ Special Person’s Day Stall and Event
Our annual Father’s Day stall will take place on Tuesday 27th August. This will be full of items for your children to purchase for their special persons
Our Father’s day event will be held on Friday 31st August so please make sure you have this in your diary. Details of this event will be sent out nearer the time.
Fete 2025
The fete committee had their first meeting last week and we have a really excellent plan in place for a successful event.
We will shortly commence approaching organisations for sponsorships, further details will be on Compass and here to see where you might be able to help.
Parents & Friends
Our next meeting is on Friday 19th July at 9am in the Team Kids room. We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.
