YEAR 10

WEEK 9: KEY INFORMATION

LAST WEEK

Last week, during our Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) lesson, our Year 10 students engaged in a house challenge with the learning intention of applying creative solutions to given problems. They were tasked with developing concepts for a sporting team, community group, or organisation that represents their top character strengths. This activity encouraged innovative thinking, teamwork, and self-awareness. I look forward to seeing the unique and thoughtful designs our students have created. This experience has not only enhanced their problem-solving skills but also reinforced the importance of collaboration and community spirit.

THIS WEEK

The permission slip for the Year 10 Retreat has been sent through Parent Slip. Retreats are integral aspects of the curriculum at the College, providing invaluable opportunities for personal growth, team building, and reflection. We believe these experiences are essential for the holistic development of our students. Therefore, attendance at all College-organised events within the school year is considered compulsory. Please complete and return the permission slip by the end of Week 9 to ensure all preparations can be finalised. Your timely response is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to a wonderful retreat for our Year 10 students.

WEEK 9 KEY DATES

WEEK 9 UNIFORM SCHEDULE

LOOKING AHEAD

As we look ahead, we find ourselves on the home stretch for holidays, but it remains crucial to maintain vigilance with the College's expectations regarding uniform standards. This includes adherence to guidelines on jewellery, haircuts, facial hair, makeup, and lashes. Consistency in upholding these expectations ensures a cohesive and respectful learning environment for all students. Your continued cooperation in reinforcing these standards is greatly valued. Let's finish the term strong and enjoy a well-deserved break ahead.
