Stage 2 Choir – Singing the Joy!

In Week 6 some of our Stage 2 choir members took their rehearsal on the road. We decided to leave the Glasshouse, head up the hill and entertain the Front Office and Admin staff giving them a sneak preview of what they will be singing in the Performing Arts concert. Here is a little taster of their item which will be performed in full this Thursday.

Year 4 Junk Orchestra

Year 4 have been investigating how to classify instruments and exploring ways that they can make their own instruments from upcycling junk found around the school. They have been busily collecting, manipulating, testing and combining items together to create instruments that we can hit, shake, scrape or blow into. They hope to form a junk orchestra with their creations.

Hitting the right notes!

Our newly formed Beginner Band is hitting all the right notes on a Wednesday mornings. This group has been formed as a training band for members to progress into our Concert Band. Students are playing a wide range of instruments including trombone, flute, oboe, trumpet, xylophone, drum kit and auxiliary percussion.

Junior School Performing Arts Concert

On Thursday 20 June, the Junior School will be hosting the annual Performing Arts Concert in the DPA beginning at 5.30pm. All students from Kindergarten to Year 6 will be performing.
