3/4 Excursion

Students had a wonderful time during their excursion to the Polly Woodside and Cooks’ Cottage in week 7 of term. The excursion provided wonderful opportunities to consolidate their learning of Australian history. 

Students immersed themselves in the life of a sailor on board a 17th century ship.  The highlights were scrubbing the deck and balancing on the rigging.  They explored what life was like for people living in the 1800s at the amazing Cooks’ Cottage in Fitzroy Gardens. Suprising, the bowling game proved a huge hit, some students said it was better than a video game!
