Students with Asthma and Hay Fever

Can all parents please ensure they have notified the school if their child suffers from asthma and/or hay fever? As the pollen season starts, we like to make sure we are prepared for any students who might be triggered by these changes.

From the Principal

Term 4 always sneaks up on us, and then we hit the ground running.

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of checking in on our 13 children attending Somers Camp. This camp program has been a wonderful opportunity for the students to experience a different camp with students from 27 other schools. All up, there are around 150 students attending.

Last week, Thea, Monique and Luka all competed at the Regional Athletics. Although the students are not progressing to the next level, they should be very proud of their personal achievements at this level, we are!

This week we have the Life Education program at school. Each class will attend a session with the LifeEd teacher and will then complete works linked to their units of learning.

Prep - Harold's Friendship

1/2 - Safety Rules

3/4 - Friends and Feelings

5/6 - Take a Break

Yesterday, we commenced our Clubs program for Term 4. This program allows teachers to choose a passion area to teach the students. Each student gets to nominate the activity they would like to do for the 4 Monday sessions. This terms choices are:

  • Baking - Miss W
  • World Travels - Miss Kennedy
  • Christmas Decorations - Mrs Jacobs
  • Terracotta Pot Painting -- Mrs Dallas
  • Woodwork - Mrs Rush
  • Pom-pom animals - Miss Mawby
  • Fabric Painting - Mrs McBride
  • Walking Club - Miss Stephan
  • Fishing - Mr Ward.

Now that we are in Term 4, all students are required to wear a hat in the yard. School hats are provided to all students upon their enrolment, thanks to the fundraising of the Parent and Friends committee. If you child has misplaced their hat, new ones can be purchased at the office.
