Deputy Principal

Dear Parents and families,

I would like to thank the community for all your support and love over the past days and  weeks. It is never an easy time to lose a loved one and my mum would be so proud of how I've been cared for at Sacred Heart. Thank you for the beautiful orchid from the Parent and Friends,

It is very much appreciated. It is lovely being back at school after  a disrupted time while my mum was in hospital and while we prepared for her memorial. I am very fortunate to work in such a caring and supportive workplace.

PREP 2025  TRANSITION

This week we had our final transition day with our newest members of Sacred Heart.  How settled our prep students were on Thursday. They had an opportunity to play inside and outside and become more familiar with their school surroundings.  A huge thankyou to our amazing prep team Miss Wood and Miss Maloney for running an exceptional orientation program, it is an absolute credit to you both and how lucky are our prep students about to start at Sacred Heart next year. Next time we see you, you will be in school uniform on your first day of school.

REMEMBRANCE DAY LITURGY

A huge thank you to Miss Maloney and our wonderful  RE captains for hosting the Remembrance day liturgy today and speaking so reverently.  The captains did a beautful job and it was a perfect way to pause and  remember those who have fought for our country. Thankyou to all the teachers and students for creating such beautiful wreaths to lay down during the  liturgy.

SCHOOL HATS TERM 4

A reminder to all students to wear our school hats outside during playtimes and PE lessons. Please apply sunscreen before school and students can reapply it during the day if necessary.

REMINDER ABOUT USING THE SCHOOL CROSSING

As student safety is paramount at Sacred Heart, please make a concerted effort touse our school crossing before and after school. The 2 minute zone is such a busy place  before and after school and it frightens me watching families crossing  in between and in front of cars. Please set an example to your children and cross at the crossing, even if it takes a couple of minutes longer.

SAVE THE DATE- 4th December 5pm Sacred Heart Carols night

Bring a picnic and enjoy a lovely evening with the community, more details to follow.

A highlight of my week was teaching the Yr 1 class some drama games and seeing the students wonderful performances! There is certainly  some talent in our junior classes.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and enjoy the Spring sunshine,
