Three-Year-Olds

We have had such a calm and settled week.  The children absolutely loved having the excavators out in the sandpit. They are a great way to practise their gross motor skills and coordination. Indoors, the watercolour painting table continues to be very popular. Children are experimenting with so many of the elements of art, such as line, shape & colour and are loving experimenting with water resistant crayon drawing with some beautiful results!

Four-Year-Olds 

Budja - we have been exploring nests as Jo found on her walk, we brainstormed ideas of what animal made the nest and then researched different types of nests. Some children found a nest on their walk and bought it in which we were able to look at similarities and differences between the two nests. We look forward to seeing how birds make nests and wonder if we could make our own.

Gawarn -  This week the Gawarn group had a dental visit from the Little Chompers team. The children focused, listened and participated so well for what was a very informative session. I’m sure they now all have some great dental care tips to share! 

Marram - We have been creating Halloween crafts and decorations, and the children enjoyed making pumpkin face crafts and Halloween patterns with Hama beads. They were fully engaged, honing their fine motor skills while expressing themselves through arts.
