Positive Behaviours for Learning

At SFS, our PBL (Positive behaviours for learning) school wide expectations are:

Respect,

Responsibility and

Kindness

This week the teachers and students focused on the value of RESPECT “Use good manners” outdoors.

The children practiced using words like please, thank you, excuse me and discussed why it is important to use good manners with others.

The students unpacked different scenarios outdoors when they might use manners like waiting in turn to use equipment on the adventure playground or bumping into someone when running on the oval.

Here are some of our lucky raffle winners from last week who has been demonstrating our schoolwide expected behaviours.

Student Representative Council Term 4

The SRC meet me each Monday During Action team time in the afternoon. The children shared some of their ideas for school improvement from their classmates. This week the children worked on developing a menu for PBL raffle winners to select a prize.

One of our SRC reps Gerwin had this to say about our meeting this week.“This week in SRC, we have been talking about the ideas of giving more opportunities and rewards in the PBL expectations raffle. Students can choose more activities to do for their PBL reward and for showing the expectations of Respect, Responsibility and Kindness.”Here are our SRC reps hard at work, working on their PBL reward menus.
