Kinder - Prep transition
Last week, many of our 2025 Prep students came along to do an activity with their Grade 5 buddies in the Art room. Whilst the students were getting to know each other, Parents and Friends had an informal session with all of the kinder parents. Huge thanks to Tamara Teheneppe's Mum for providing a delicious jelly slice. It was great to have so many parents stay and hear about P&F (thankyou Kristy Nielson), some news from the office and spend time getting to know each other.
Donations:
We are so lucky to be supported by our community. A special thankyou to Shane Mott for organising a donation from Warragul City Ford of sports equipment. Additional play equipment is always appreciated by our students.
Best Wishes:
This week Ms Caitlin Prosser started her maternity leave. We are all super excited for Caitlin to be a Mum but there were also plenty of tears at saying farewell for the time being.
School Expectations:
Thank you to our parents for your quick response to our reminder of students needing a school hat and the correct school uniform. On another note, at school we teach the students that they must keep hands and feet to themselves. We also teach them non-physical solutions to problems. I know it can be tempting to tell your child to hit back, however this is not in line with our school expectations and also does not set them up for adult life where retaliation is not acceptable. If your child is having problems in the playground that you believe are ongoing, please speak to your child's teacher or myself so we can help to find a suitable solution.
Parents & Friends:
P&F have funded a replacement set of chess set pieces for the large outdoor chess board. I'm sure the students will be enjoying having a full set of chess pieces from next week.
