The final school day for the Class of 2024 was a fitting send-off, filled with excitement, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Students, teachers, and staff came together to celebrate the culmination of an extraordinary journey through high school. The day’s events included a thrilling staff vs. student dodgeball game, a lively trivia contest, and a spirited costume parade—each one brimming with energy and school spirit.
Staff vs. Student Dodgeball: The Ultimate Showdown
The final Staff vs. Student match for 2024 was an epic dodgeball showdown between the staff and the students. Students brought their A-game, eager to show off their skills, in a relentless victory to open a 1-0 lead in the best of three series. The eight crafty teachers were determined to defend their pride and fought back against the seventy-odd students. The spirited display by the staff saw them claw their way to victory and tie the ledger at one-all. The final match was fast-paced and full of action, with dodges, dives, and plenty of laughs. In the end, the students won, but the real winner was the fun and camaraderie that filled the gym.
Costume Parade: Creativity and Spirit on Display
The highlight of the day was the much-anticipated costume parade. Students and staff alike went all out with their costumes, showcasing their creativity within the theme of ‘Childhood TV shows and movies.’ The parade was a dazzling display of imagination, from superheroes and animals to pop culture icons and fantastical creatures. The judges had a tough time picking winners, but in the end, everyone who participated was celebrated for their effort and enthusiasm.
A Fond Farewell
As the day drew to a close, emotions ran high as the Class of 2024 reflected on the memories made over the years. With laughter, games, and costumes, the final day was a perfect reminder of the tight-knit community that has supported each other throughout high school. While this chapter has ended, the friendships and memories will last a lifetime.

Until next time, Class of 2024—farewell, and good luck!
On October 28th, we visited the Supreme Court of Victoria. At the beginning of the day, we were given the exciting opportunity to speak with a lovely judge and her associates to ask questions, hear their stories, and gain their valuable advice. We then explored the court library, which holds thousands of books, and learned how the dome at the top was initially used to keep male jurors in some original cases. We also learned about Sir Redmond Barry and how he convicted Ned Kelly to death, ultimately dying 12 days after Ned Kelly. Additionally, we were lucky enough to observe a jury empanelling for a fascinating slavery case.
Consequently, we finished up the excursion at Southern Cross DFO, where we enjoyed lunch. It was a very exciting and insightful experience that we would definitely recommend!
