IPSHA Gymnastics
On Thursday 31 October, 14 Kambala students represented their school at the IPSHA Gymnastics Competition at the Sydney Gymnastics Centre in Rooty Hill.
In a wonderful display of Gymnastics, the girls performed outstandingly. The months of preparation and time leading up to the carnival was clearly on display, as the girls went through four gymnastic rotations of Bar, Beam, Floor and Vault.
Well done to all the girls for representing the school to such a high standard. The positive displays of encouragement to their fellow team members was a definite highlight. The way the girls cheered each other on, and were excited to see their friends succeed, was a pleasure to witness.

Invitational Swimming Competition
Kambala hosted its annual Junior School Invitational Swimming Carnival on Friday 25th October. Competing against Scots and Ascham, Kambala once again showed their prowess in the pool with some very fast swimming.
Congratulations to all competitors for your competitive team spirit in the evening. It was great to see teammates cheering each other on as they represented their school with pride.
Thank you very much to Sophie Alexander, Daisy Webster and Sarah Tay for giving up their time to be ribbon presenters for the event.

NSW PSSA Athletics
Olivia Boulton capped off a fine season of Athletics placing 14th in the State in the 1500m at the NSW PSSA Championships. Olivia has represented NSWCIS in both Athletics and Cross Country this year, an outstanding achievement.
IGSA Gymnastics
Congratulations to our elite gymnasts Brooklyn Beck Level 8 and Allegra Erdogan Level 7 on their performance at the IGSA Gymnastics Carnival. Brooklyn won Silver on the Bars and 4th on Beam. Brooklyn competed in Level 8 for the first time and her performance is a credit to her tenacity as she had six months off training after breaking her ankle. Allegra performed well across all apparatus with her best placings being 7th on Floor and 10th on Beam.
Equestrian Star
Congratulations to Year 3 student Pippa D Sze for her recent success at the interschool equestrian competition held at the Bong Bong Picnic Race Course Bowral. This was Pippa D’s very first interschool equestrian competition. With her horse, Kingslea Seraph-Geroge, Pippa D produced outstanding results, as she finished 1st in Showjumping, 5th in Dressage and 3rd in the Best Rider Hacking class. Well done Pippa D on this amazing achievement.

Australian Futsal Representative
Congratulations to our very own Sports Administrator, Jamie Dib on his selection in the Australian Futsal team. Jamie is currently playing in the Asean Futsal Championships in Thailand. The Futsalroos play Myanmar, Indonesia and Cambodia in the group stage this week with the top two teams progressing to the semi finals.
Mr Dib introduced our girls to playing structured Futsal in the Rosebank Invitational competition. The girls have appreciated his knowledge of the sport and coaching insights. It has been great to see girls from Years 7-9 playing this sport together in a team and they have made a good start to the season.
