Grade 1 | Leatherwood

CLEVER CLASS

On Tuesday, Kindergarten to Grade Two students participated enthusiastically in the Beach to Bush Program. This program educates students about aquatic environments and promotes safe and happy beach experiences.

Grade one enjoyed this session and asked our presenters some excellent questions. Were learnt how to interpret the different signs we see at beaches and near nature reserves. We also learnt an acronym for FLAGS!

We also learnt…

Tate - You need to lay on your back in a starfish preposition if you are in trouble and signal.

Lottie - You should not swim against the current.

Lillian - You should always stay close to your parents or guardians at the beach.

Lulu - Yellow signs tell us there is danger.
