This year, we will once again be offering the Australian Maths Competition (AMC) to our Grade 3-6 students. This is a problem-solving competition comprising of 30 questions covering the areas of :
- Basic arithmetic
- Fractions and ratios
- Algebra and pre-algebra
- Geometry
- Measurement
- Statistics and probability
- Problem-solving (including enumeration)
The AMC is an online test that will take place on Wednesday 7th August. While all students are welcome to participate, it is important to note that it is a very challenging test and some students may be overwhelmed by the experience.
If you wish for your child to participate, please fill in the Operoo form and bring $8.50 to the office in a clearly marked envelope including the following details :
