Captains' Corner

Kiki Bell and Mani Yung - Academic Captains

Last Tuesday, we gathered to celebrate the achievements of our students, whose dedication, hard work, and pursuit of excellence have earned them well-deserved recognition. It is an honour and a privilege to acknowledge the outstanding accomplishments of these individuals who have gone above and beyond in their academic endeavours.

Academic excellence is about more than just high grades; it embodies a deep-seated curiosity and countless hours spent studying. It is about the willingness to ask questions, the courage to think critically and creatively, and the determination to overcome challenges. At last week's Academic Assembly, we proudly presented these students with academic awards, and encouraged them to continue their hard work into the next semester.

As a reminder, students who signed up for the Peer Mentoring Program will receive an email with details about their assigned mentors. We strongly encourage you to arrange weekly meetings with your mentors if you need extra support on assessments. Additionally, it is crucial to attend tutorials as exams and assignments are approaching. This extra support provided by teachers allows students to seek help personally and gain a better understanding of the assessments and course content.

We are excited to announce that the Thinkers Challenge will continue this year, taking place during House time in Week 4 and Week 6. This event will count towards the House points for the House Shield at the end of the year, so please bring your enthusiasm and competitive spirit to the competition.

In conclusion, remember that success is within your reach, and with dedication, passion, and hard work. Let us strive for excellence and create an environment where every student feels empowered to reach their full potential.
