Hi all,

Just a quick update on what’s happening in Term 3 and early Term 4.

St John's Skipathon 2024-Whole School

This year we are looking forward to our annual skipathon. Mr B has sent out information related to fundraising for the event.

Children will need their own rope for sports sessions.

The children will be participating in a skip-a-thon on: 

Wednesday 14th of August.

Venue- St John’s -Nunan Hall

The timetable will be as follows:

Middle 9:30-10:30, 

Senior 11:25-12:25, 

Junior 2:15pm- 3:10pm.

Teacher eliminator at 12:35.

The prizes are: One bike for the Juniors, one for the Middle School and one for the Senior School. Prizes will be randomly drawn from those who have contributed to the fundraiser as per the Trybooking page details.

District Basketball Championships

On Friday the 23rd, August one boys and one girls team from GR 5/6 will have the chance to compete in the Bayside District Basketball Championships to be held at Frankston Basketball Stadium. There has been a series of selection trials held to select teams. We are very lucky to have Mel Cotta and Mr Caine available to coach these teams on the day.

Gr 3/4 Basketball

On Thursday 5th, September. Mr Caine is coordinating efforts for the Basketball Lightning Premiership Day for our Grade 3/4 students. As with our Grade 5/6 team, there are limited spots available and players have been trying out for the teams. 

Cricket Day   

Our District Cricket Day will be held on Friday 6th, September. We will be taking one boys and one girls team from Grade 5/6 to the event.

Footy Day - Whole School

On Thursday 12th, September Footy Day will be held on the school grounds. It should be a fantastic day with a parade at 9:00am to kick off events. We will be holding games and also have the AFL roadshow running which will be great fun for all.

Division Athletics

Division Athletics will be held for those who qualified on Wednesday 9th, October. This is the first week of Term 4. I am still waiting for results for those who qualified for the next round. I will pass those on the moment I have them.  Parents are required to organise transport and supervision on this day.

Boys Netball Day

A team of Grade 5/6 boys will be attending the District Netball Lightning Premiership on October 25th at Jubilee Park.

Girls AFL

Some of our Grade 5/6 Girls will be attending the District AFL Lightning Premiership on October 25th at Ballam Park.

Before School Jogging

Congratulations to all the adults, students and pres-schoolers who participated in the before school jogging this year. Certificates have been awarded.
