Father's Day and The Fathering Project
This year, we are excited to announce that we are welcoming our father's/carers or special person to a wonderful celebratory event to make them feel extra special! Father's Day is on Sunday 1st of September, so this will be a lovely start to the week for our dads/carers or special person.
On Monday 26th August, our dad/carers or special person may:
- enjoy a coffee from the coffee van that will be located in our school's front car park, as close to the school's entrance, from 8.00am until 9.00am
- take a photo together at one of our photo booths (located in corridors)
- attend our special assembly dedicated to our dads/carers or special person
- visit your child/childrens' classroom/s until 10.00am.
- plant a small shrub with your child at the front of the school.
When: Monday 26th August
Time: 8.30am to 11.00am
Location: Dads/carers/special person start with a coffee from Mackellar from the coffee van near the school's entrance. Attend assembly, then visit your child's/children's class.
At 10am, there will be a Fathering Project event where you can plant a small shrub with your child at the front of the school.
Father's Day, Special Person's Day Stall - Also Monday 26th August
Parent volunteers have already generously given their time to select gifts from a catalogue for this magnificent stall. Sincere thanks to our amazing parents and carers who are working hard behind the scenes to make this happen for our students. A huge THANK YOU also to parents and carers who have plans to assist at the stall. If you would like to assist, please contact our office.
Students will be able to purchase up to 3 gifts that will be priced from $1 to $5.
A timetable will allow students to visit the stall with their class and have plenty of time shopping.
Footy Fun Day (or favourite sports team colours)
We are thrilled to announce yet another student initiative. Our Junior School Council came up with an exciting way to finish the term, based on what they believe their peers would really enjoy..... A Footy Fun Day, or favourite sports team colours!
Our JSC suggested that some students prefer AFL whilst some prefer soccer, so it would be fair for them to wear whatever team uniform or colours that they support. Great thinking JSC! But there's even more to the day... A special lunch order from the canteen AND some amazing activities for the whole school!
Here are the details so far:
An order form (below) will be distributed to all students. The amazing activities will be announced in our next newsletter!
