Dear Kingswood Community,

The Year 5 and 6 students have spent approximately 8 weeks ( 8 x 60 minutes) working on developing their skills in drawing. We used the same process that all other year levels have used which include:

  1. Consider your composition and how you will use your space, THINK first!
  2. Look for the basic shapes and consider the proportion of these shapes
  3. Adjust lines for realism
  4. Add tone, thinking about where the light source is coming from
  5. Add details and texture to create interest

They have exceeded my expectations, developing their landscapes with new skills and adding unique images to make it their own. 

 

When looking at them, can you tell where the sun/moonlight is coming from? Well done Year 5 and 6! You should feel proud and satisfied with your results.
