Circus Skills Program - Whole School

A reminder, in case you missed the last newsletter, that Kingswood has engaged the services of The Circus Crew to provide a 5 week circus program for all students in Term 4. The program will culminate in our school concert, Step Right Up! showcasing the skills that the students have learnt. This will also celebrate the opening of our new gymnasium.

As promised, this event will be on Compass on Friday. The cost of the program is $50 per student for the 5 week program and there are payment instalment options for families if required.

Please read and adhere to the dates for instalments carefully if you are taking up this payment option. All monies will be due on Friday 13th September.

The Circus Skills Program will start on Monday 7th October [first day of Term 4] and will run for 4 weeks. We will then have a break in Week 5 [Curriculum Day, Melbourne Cup Day, Year 4 Camp] and have our final circus classes in Week 6.

Dress rehearsals and concerts will be in Week 7. The dates of the concerts are: Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th November.

Further details such as the circus skills timetable and cast lists will be provided once they have been finalised.

Step Right Up! Dance Auditions

At Kingswood, we are here for the students and pride ourselves on providing an environment where every student can shine. So we were very impressed with the almost 70 students who took a responsible risk and tried out for the Step Right Up! Concert dance.

Thank you to all the students who participated and especially those who took the time to prepare their audition routine. Thank you also to the parents and students who sent through their music to us in advance. The standard has been high so it will not be an easy decision for us to choose the 40 students that we need.

We will contact all the successful dancers and their parents once everyone has auditioned. Even if you are not selected, remember that you still did a great job and can be proud of yourself for stepping right up.
