Trivia Night
On Saturday 24th August, Baxter Primary will be hosting our major fundraiser for the year, a Trivia Night. Tickets are just $30 per person and we would love to see as many members of the school community attend as possible. $8000 worth of prizes and donations have already been received, so there will be plenty of value on offer, throughout the night.
Please don’t be concerned if you can’t fill a table, as we will make tables for those who attend individually or in smaller groups. Please contact the office to book your seat.
School Uniforms
School Council are currently in discussions and reviewing our school uniform policy.
Any changes to this will be directly shared with the school community via Compass.
Please be reminded that students are to be wearing their full school uniform, every day.
Curriculum Day
A friendly reminder that we will be holding a student free, Curriculum Day on Friday 16th August. Please contact Elysium OHSC if you require supervision for your child(ren) on that day.
Parent Teacher Interviews
Just a reminder that parent teacher interviews will take place next week on Tuesday 13th August. Bookings are still available on Compass to meet with classroom teachers. Please be advised that bookings will close on Monday 12th August to allow teachers to prepare. Do not hesitate to call the office if you experience any issues making a time.
Jeans for Genes Day
Baxter PS children, families and staff raised $320 for Jeans for Genes Day.
Thank you to Mr Shute for organising this fundraising event to create awareness of the Children's Medical Research Institute, helping to find a cure for various children's genetic diseases.
Farewell Mrs Paulding
It was with great sadness that we bid farewell to Mrs Jeanette Paulding yesterday at a service attended by a number of current and past staff, students and parents of our school.
Jeanette had a significant impact on many students at Baxter PS over a 25-year period and notably looked after our library and was responsible for our annual Book Week celebrations. She will be sadly missed but certainly not forgotten.
We acknowledge the Bunurong people, the Traditional
Owners of the land on which Baxter Primary School resides, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
