Devotion

On Sunday, many of us gathered for our Church Carols—singing, laughing and celebrating together. Moments like that remind us of something special: Christmas is not just a season; it’s a gathering. A time when community becomes family and simple acts—singing a carol, sharing a smile, sitting side-by-side—become reminders of God’s love.

At the very first Christmas, God brought people together too. Shepherds, wise men, Mary and Joseph—all different people, from different places, brought into the same story. What united them was the gift of Jesus, the light God sent into the world.

In the same way, when we come together—at school, in our families, at church—we reflect that light. We show kindness, welcome others and share joy. Each of us has something important to bring.

As we move through this Christmas season, may we remember that community is one of God’s greatest gifts. May we keep looking for moments to lift each other up, include someone new, and shine God’s love in small ways every day.

Let’s pray.

Loving God, thank you for the joy of gathering together. Thank you for the gift of Jesus and for the communities that surround us. Help us share Your light through kindness, welcome and love. Bless our school as we journey through this Christmas season. Amen.
