Year 10 Report
Miss Maddy Sweeney

We would like to congratulate our Year 10 students on the successful completion of Year 10, including Exams, Transition Week and all their achievements throughout the year. Their commitment to learning, resilience in facing challenges, and support for one another have been commendable.
As the holidays begin, we encourage students to take time to rest and recharge. Looking ahead to 2026, we are excited to see them continue to build on the strong foundations they have established this year.
Lets reflect on what was a great year for our Year 10 Students.
The Presentation Ball was a truly memorable evening, showcasing the hard work and dedication of our students. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and pride as participants stepped onto the floor with confidence and elegance. Months of rehearsals paid off, the commitment to practice, teamwork, and attention to detail shone through in every dance and performance. The rehearsals not only built skills but also strengthened friendships and created lasting memories. Congratulations to all involved for making the event such a wonderful success!

Our Year 10 students showed outstanding energy, enthusiasm, and commitment during Sports Day, excelling across both athletics and swimming events, and representing Norwood on interschool sports days. Their participation reflected not only individual talent but also teamwork and school spirit, with students encouraging one another and striving for their personal best. From sprint finishes on the track to powerful performances in the pool, Year 10s demonstrated resilience, determination, and pride in representing their year level. Their engagement made the day a vibrant celebration of sport and community, and we congratulate them on their achievements.

Our Year 10 students embraced their work experience with enthusiasm and maturity. Across a variety of placements, they demonstrated responsibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn. The program gave them valuable insights into the workplace while building confidence and independence. We are proud of the way they represented themselves and our school community.

This year our students enjoyed a range of enriching incursions and excursions that extended their learning beyond the classroom. These experiences provided valuable opportunities to connect theory with practice, explore new ideas, and build stronger relationships within the school community.
Our Year 10 students approached their exams with focus and determination. The exam period was an opportunity to consolidate their learning and demonstrate the knowledge and skills developed throughout the year. We are proud of the effort they put into preparation and the resilience they showed during this important stage of their academic journey.
Congratulations to all our Year 10 Award Winners!
