Celebrating Year 8: A Year of Growth, Leadership, and Connection
As the school year draws to a close, we are proud to reflect on the incredible journey of our Year 8 students in 2025. This year has been filled with opportunities for growth, leadership, and community, and our students have embraced each challenge with enthusiasm and resilience.
Summit Camp: Adventure and Resilience
The Year 8 Summit Camp was a standout event of Year 8, bringing students together in an environment that encouraged teamwork, courage, and self-discovery. From outdoor challenges to reflective activities, students learned the value of perseverance and collaboration. The camp not only strengthened friendships but also built confidence that will carry them into the years ahead.
Personal and Social Development: Man Cave & Big Sister Experience
Our Personal and Social Development program offered unique opportunities for students to explore identity, relationships, and wellbeing. The Man Cave experience provided our male students with a safe space to discuss masculinity, resilience, and emotional wellbeing, fostering deeper self-awareness and empathy. In conjunction, The Big Sister experience empowered our female student to share, connect, and support one another, building confidence and celebrating individuality.
Together, these programs created a culture of openness and respect, helping students navigate the challenges of adolescence with strength and compassion.
Leadership in Action: Wellness Wednesdays
Year 8 students also stepped up as leaders in our Wellness Wednesdays initiative. Their involvement in promoting mindfulness, healthy habits, and positive school culture has been inspiring. By leading activities and encouraging peers to prioritise wellbeing, they have shown that leadership is not just about responsibility—it’s about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
