It’s a Wrap - St. Patrick's Primary School, Mentone rocks the final Times Table Rock Stars Competition,
OZ Rocks!
Earlier this term our school participated in our final Maths competition for the year, OZRocks. Students from Years 3 – 6 competed from Tuesday 11 th November to Thursday 13 thNovember 2025. This Times Tables Rock Stars competition was probably the fiercest wehave encountered with a whopping 29,428,000 questions answered collectively by 45,108students from more than 694 schools and 3,817 classes all over Australia!
St. Patrick’s put in another stellar performance and placed 60 th out of 694 schools, whichincluded both primary and high schools. This means that we placed approximately withinthe top 8% of all schools that participated, something to be exceptionally proud of and it isthe first time we have scored inside the top 10%! In the Primary category, our schoolreached 51 st place out of 549 schools which is just inside the top 10%, and our best resultyet in this category too! What an outstanding effort by ALL Year 3 – 6 students!
Once again, our school stats were astonishing! Our top three students were Zachary B (5ID), Andrew K (4AE) and Hayden M (4KL) who all managed a HUGE combined score of almost 24,000 points and helped to lift our school’s overall results. Notable mentions goto Zachary and Andrew who have excelled throughout all three competitions and were triple MVP recipients, they have managed another sensational performance in the final OZRocks tournament. 4AE was our top performing class again and was closely followed by5SB and 4EC. Well done to those students and three classes.
Overall, our results have been fantastic for our first year using the Times Table Rocks learning platform and reflect the vast improvement in all student’s number fluency, inparticular, their quick speed and recall of multiplication and division facts. Another superb performance by St. Patrick’s.
I hope you continue to love mathematics and don’t forget to keep practicing!
Good luck on your maths journey,
from Mrs. Evans
