Principals' Report

Dear Parents and Carers,
This is our second-last newsletter for the 2025 school year, and as we head toward the final weeks, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our entire school community. It has been an outstanding year—one filled with growth, celebration and countless moments that remind us what a special place St Patrick’s is.
Throughout the year, our students and staff have achieved significant milestones. We have seen new friendships formed, impressive sporting accomplishments, and continual development in academic learning and personal wellbeing. Watching our students flourish across so many areas has been a privilege, and it reflects the partnership, dedication and support shared between families, staff and students.
As we prepare to wrap up the year, I thank each of you for the part you have played in making 2025 such a successful and memorable year for our school.
I would like to acknowledge some of our achievements for this year:
- Creation of new school song to be sung at special events/assembly
- Creation of 2 Deputy Principal offices in the admin area
- Re- carpeting and painting of the senior classrooms
- Mitchell St and Childers St Playground installations
- Relocation of Chook Pen to garden area
- General maintenance of creek and Mitchell st/Childers st fences
- Repair to the 2 water bikes on the playground
- Successful completion of our school review (4 Yearly Cycle)
- New Staff Softshell Jacket and Cap
- New assembly day and time
- Installation of the Gaga Pit
- Year 6 Boys - State Champions Lacrosse
Maintaining our current enrolment numbers over 460 students
Next week's newsletter will have the full staffing schedule for the 2026 school year including the leadership team, teacher class placement and our Learning Support Officers.
In addition, due to the continued high level of interest in enrolments at St Patrick’s School, we will be capping each year level cohort at 72 students. This structure allows for three straight classes per year level, with a maximum of 24 students per class—giving us a total of 21 classes across the school.
With a projected starting enrolment of 462 students in 2026, our overall school average will sit at approximately 22 students per class. This ensures that we maintain high-quality learning environments where students are well supported and teachers can continue to deliver strong academic and wellbeing outcomes.
As a result of these enrolment limits, only minimal places will be available at each year level for new students in 2026. If you are aware of families seeking enrolment, we encourage them to contact the school office as soon as possible.
Thank you from St. Vincent de Paul Society

School Assemblies
Please note that our final Friday school assembly for the year will take place tomorrow - Friday 5th December.
Our last official gathering for 2025 will be our annual Christmas Carols event at Kilbreda, held in the Mary Dalton Hall on Monday 15th December from 9:15am to 10:45am. This is a highlight on our school calendar and a wonderful way to close the year—filled with music, joy, and the festive spirit that our students bring so naturally.
We look forward to seeing you all there as we celebrate the end of another fantastic year at St Patrick’s.
