4-Year-Old Kindergarten (Field Room)

Wow... we cannot believe it! We have come to the end of another wonderful year.

Term 4 was full of bitter sweet moments in the 4-year-old kindergarten room. Term 4 was all about learning, having fun and soaking up our final moments together at Kinder. In particular we focused on school readiness, graduation and exploring the Museum of Play and Art.

Museum Of Play and Art (MOPA)

Our very excited kinder group ventured out by bus to MOPA for our end of year excursion. The museum had a variety of exhibits and activities that have been crafted to provide rich opportunities for play-based learning and creative exploration. As you can imagine the children had a truly amazing day exploring the wondrous space where we played, were creative and learnt together through all the different activities. However we believe the bus trip was their favourite part!

School Readiness

This term as a team we focused on learning experiences that would further support the children in their new learning journey to Primary School. We introduced the children to a variety of learning opportunities which further supported their confidence and preparation around their next adventure to school. These experiences included: The kindness Monster (Show and Tell), the Lunch Box Program, group discussions, literacy and numeracy experiences throughout Field Room.

Graduation 2025

Wow! What a beautiful night this was. The children proudly received their kindergarten certificates and shared special moments with their peers, families and teachers. Our kinders have come so far this year and it has been so heart warming being a part of their learning journey. It has been an absolute pleasure watching each and everyone of these children blossom this year.

The Kindness Monster

We had a new kinder friend join us for our last term at kinder... The kindness Monster. The Kindness Monster was taken home by each and every child, where they documented their time together and shared their adventures with the kinder group. Our Kindness Monster supported children in their daily decision making, through making thumbs up choices, being kind and friendly to others, and listening to everyone's words. Show and tell is a great opportunity for the children to stand up in front of the class and share things about their adventures, through this it builds on their confidence, self-esteem and pride. We are so proud of their growth over this term!

The Lunch Box Program

Our lunch box program was a huge hit. The children thoroughly enjoyed making their own sandwiches each day and packing their own morning tea, each day it was a different kind of packaged food, a yoghurt and piece of fruit as well as their sandwich. The purpose of this program is to further support the children in school readiness before they face new challenges. It has been such a positive experience, the children have loved making their sandwiches and packing their lunch boxes each morning. This was the perfect opportunity for all children to get a small taste of what schools lunch time will be like for them next year.
