Thank you for celebrating all these events with us, Term 4 has been a busy one but a perfect way to end the year.
Diwali 20th October
Diwali also known as “A Festival of Lights “. We celebrated by creating beautiful lanterns, paintings and diyas.
Grandparents/Special Persons Day 24th October
Thank you for those who attended, it was a very joyful day and the children adored showing off their rooms to their special people.
Halloween 31st October
SPooKy HalLOweEn 👻 Amazed by all the fun and creative costumes we saw this year from pumpkins and witches, to dinosaurs and many Wednesday Addams.
Recycling Week 10th - 16th November
Recycling Man was a huge hit for all the rooms. Learning all about the importance of recycling and saving the earth one piece of rubbish at a time.
4-Year-Old Kindergarten Graduation 1st December
Very proud of our Kinder graduates of 2025. Such a lovely evening to celebrate their achievements this year.
Christmas Party 4th December
Always a great way to end the year together, our Christmas party this year was a great success. The rooms have also enjoyed spreading the holiday joy and spirit with many festive activities and some cheeky little elves causing chaos.
Recipe 1 from Julia: ABC Muffins
Makes 12
Ingredients
- White self-raising flour - 1 cup (150g) (sifted)
- Wholemeal self-raising flour - 1 cup (150g) (sifted)
- Brown sugar - ¼ cup (60g)
- Cinnamon, ground - 1 teaspoon (ground)
- Carrots - 2 (120g) (grated)
- Apple - 1 (150g) (grated)
- 1 Banana (mashed)
- Milk - 1 cup (250mL)
- Eggs - 2 (lightly beaten)
- Canola or vegetable oil - ¼ cup (60mL)
- Vanilla essence - 1 teaspoon
Method
Preheat oven to 200°C.
Lightly grease muffin trays (regular or mini) or line trays with paper cases.
Combine flours with the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Stir in mashed banana, grated carrot and apple.
Combine milk, egg, oil and vanilla essence in another bowl. Add to flour and sugar mixture and mix until just combined. Do not over mix or muffins will be tough.
Spoon mixture evenly into muffin trays or cases. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until cooked and brown on top.
Recipe 2: English Muffin mini Pizzas
Ingredients
- 4 English muffins, cut into halves (for a healthier alternative, swap with wholemeal English muffins.)
- 60g tomato paste (or swap with passata sauce, or for a healthier alternative swap with the no added salt tomato paste. )
- 50g capsicum, diced (or use canned capsicum or swap with vegetable of choice)
- 60g tasty cheese block, grated (or swap with any cheese of choice)
- 1/3g oregano, dried (option to remove oregano if preferred.)
Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C fan-forced. Line baking tray(s) with baking paper.
Spread tomato paste on each muffin half. Add capsicum on top and then sprinkle with grated cheese and dried oregano.
Place prepared pizzas on the baking tray(s) and cook for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
For extra variation try: Cheesy Mushroom & Corn Pizzas, Pineapple and Cheese Pizzas, Ham and black Olive Pizzas.
