Group 9

In Term 4, Group 9 had an exciting and busy time filled with hands-on learning and creativity! We explored measurement by comparing objects that were long and short, big and small while using everyday items to help us understand the differences. We also completed a mini sound unit. We experimented with loud and quiet noises and explored a range of instruments to hear how each one worked. In art, we used our sound and instrument knowledge to create paper shakers using dried beans and rice. In cooking, we learned functional skills to help us make pizzas, Christmas fairy bread and decorated biscuits with colourful icing and sprinkles. In science, we used our investigation skills to make our own play dough, tested different objects to see whether they would sink or float, and even made some fizzy potions. To finish the term, we got into the holiday spirit by making decorations and festive crafts to brighten up our classroom and take home.

We hope everyone has a happy and healthy summer holiday. See you in 2026
