Holy Week Pilgrimage
Over the last couple of weeks, we have been focusing on the events of Holy Week, from Palm Sunday to Good Friday. It is a most special story for our Christian community. Our faith journey with Jesus in Holy week has us remembering his last days and moments. This journey is filled with excitement and celebration and of sadness and suffering.
This Year, as a school community, we contributed to and took part in a ‘Holy Week Pilgrimage’ to commemorate the events of Holy Week, through Art. Each homegroup created an art piece to go with a specific event of Holy Week. They were asked to read the scripture story, disucss the main images within the story and together create an art piece to reflect their understanding of the scripture. This has been a extrodinary success, thanks to our teachers and students!
As part of our celebration of learning, it was great to see students and families immersing themselves into this experience.
Reconciliation
Last Tuesday night, we celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation. What a wonderful celebration it was for our students. Sometimes we ‘miss the mark’ and we come to the Sacrament of Reconciliation when we recognise our wrong and have the intention to try again, we turn to God, we ask for God's forgiveness. It has been a great experience to watch our candidates grow in their faith and develop their relationship with God.
Congratulations to all our Reconciliation cadidates!
