Upcoming Events – Action needed

A list of things we need parents and carers to do to ensure their student can attend events, camps or excursions

Meet the Teacher Evening

Don't forget we have our Meet the Teachers Evening happening Tuesday February 5th 4-6 pm.

This is an opportunity for parents to visit classrooms, find out about programs and routines, ask questions and get to know the teacher. It is also an opportunity to share information about your child with the teacher.

When parents and teachers work together the educational outcomes are always better for children. Benefits of a strong parent teacher partnership also include maintaining the wellbeing of children, parents feeling more confident in the teaching and learning process and teachers feeling supported by parents. As it is very early in the school year, teachers will not be able to talk about children's progress at this time.

If you have confidential information to share with the teacher, be aware that there will be other parents and children in the room, and it may be better to organise a separate time to meet with the class teacher.

This program is a highlight of the school year, providing students with the opportunity to develop their swimming skills and participate in this essential aspect of our physical education curriculum.

Program Details:

  • Location: Trafalgar Outdoor Pool
  • Dates: 30th January – 7th February 2025
  • Consent Forms: Available via Compass in the final week of the holidays. Specific session times for each class will be provided at this time. Please ensure consent is completed promptly to assist with program preparations.

Students should have their swimming gear ready each day of the program, as detailed session times will be distributed just prior to the program’s commencement. Students will require:

  • Towel
  • Plastic bag for wet clothes
  • Goggles
  • Optional: Hairbrush, thongs, and swimming cap
  • Final Session Note: Students should also bring clothing to wear during their final session, such as a t-shirt or long sleeve top and thin long pants.

Please ensure all items are clearly labelled, and students with long hair have it tied back or secured with a swimming cap.

Additional Information:  Students will walk to and from the Trafalgar Outdoor Pool, supervised by staff, with parents welcome to assist (Working with Children Check required). The program will conclude with the School Swimming Carnival on Friday, 7th February, where students will showcase their swimming skills and compete for a place in the Warragul District Swimming Competition.

Further details will be provided early in 2025.  We look forward to a fantastic swimming program!
