Captain's Corner

Welcome to the Captain’s Corner, with Bridget and Callum!

Hi, our names are Bridget and Callum and we are your 2025 School Captains!

First, we would like to warmly welcome all the new staff, students, and families that have joined us this year.

Our first two weeks at school have been so exciting, so here’s a quick rundown of everything that has happened so far.

In week one we had a gathering to welcome all the new preps and staff as well as our new principal Mrs Marinelli!

On Wednesday the year 5’s and 6’s were introduced to their new prep buddies.

On Friday, we had our whole school mass in the church. All the Year 6’s were given their badges and certificates.

This week we had a hockey clinic with the TEM Hockey Club. It was very fun and we learnt how to dribble and stop the ball as well as how to do a push pass and, how to hold the hockey stick properly so we don’t hit anyone with it.

Yesterday was the Parent Information meeting with the teachers.

Years 5 and 6 have been incredible big buddies to our new preps by helping them fit in at St Joseph's.

We love seeing the preps laughing and always having a smile every day and always giving a helping hand. Can't wait to see what they do next.

Also this week we have had our swimming tryouts for the district and we are so proud of the kids who gave it a go especially some of our Year 3s for trying it for the first time. Our swimming training is on Friday and Wednesday mornings at Harold Holt Swimming Pool. This will be run by Mrs Huebner at 7:45am.
