Year 7 Camp

The annual year 7 camp continues to be a hit with students kicking off their Heathmont College lives. This camp continues to form an incredibly important opportunity for our newest cohort of students to connect and thrive together with their new school colleagues.
On the 5th of February, the new Year 7 cohort jumped on the bus and headed towards Phillip Island Adventure Resort, where they took part in activities such as surfing, flying foxes, raft building and archery across a 3 day camp extravaganza. Outside of their comfort zone, many students challenged themselves and their perception of what they can do, achieving success and building both communication and connection skills.
A big thank you to the new year 7 Coordination team, Ms Brooke McDermott and Ms Joanne Ganis as well as all staff members whom gave their time to make the year 7 camp such a great success again this year.
No doubt our newest members of the Heathmont community will sleep well on Friday night!
