Core Value Awards
A big congratulations to our students who were awarded Core Value Awards!
Lacrosse SAPSASA
Over one hundred Year 4,5 & 6 students represented GPS at the SAPSASA Lacrosse Carnival. Our students represented our school fantastically by showing great sportsmanship and putting in 100% effort the whole day. They also performed very well, making it a clean-sweep for GPS by winning all four divisions on the day! Thank you to all the parent volunteers and teachers who came on the day, and an even bigger one to Mr Skinner, who did all the organisation and background work that allowed our students to attend!
Cricket SAPSASA
Our SAPSASA Boys Cricket Team won their first-round match of the Statewide Cricket Competition. In a very close and low-scoring affair, they beat Mawson Lakes Primary School by three runs! Good luck in the next round, boys!
Play Sessions
Our Year 1 and 2 classes are enjoying their regular play sessions each week, where they are highly engaged and enthusiastic. Play is an essential part of early childhood education, offering a wide range of benefits that extend beyond the classroom.
It has been wonderful to see our students building these skills through the power of play.
Harmony Week 2025
From wearing orange, designing badges, creating harmony hearts and educational videos with classroom discussions to name just a few of our students and staffs efforts to show support for cultural diversity.
Messy Play
Our Foundation students had a fantastic time engaging in fun and messy play during our Sensory Magic incursion.
Some of the activities students experienced included:
• Choc mint scented play dough ice cream
• Chocolate sprinkles and marshmallow melted ice cream
• Spaghetti ice cream with chocolate sauce
• Lemon scented rainbow ice cream
• Bubbling ice cream
Thank you to Ebony from Sensory Magic. We look forward to our next session!
