2025 Student Leaders

Introducing our 2025 Student Leaders!

Apart of Student Leaders job is attending our Governing Council Meetings. During the meetings the Council and staff representatives review and discuss different aspects about the governance of the school. Our School Leaders attend the meeting to showcase to the council what our students have been involved in during the term.

We know that they will do a fantastic job with Student Voice, running assemblies, supporting kindergarten transition, and much more!

Congratulations to our 2025 Student Leaders

National Young Leaders Day

Monday, 31 March

The National Young Leaders Day at the Convention Centre was attended by the 9 school leaders, Mrs Isgar and Janine. School leaders from primary and high schools across South Australia were also there.

We started our day by dancing, which was led by Ezra from Dance Curriculum. We learnt the dance ‘Hill Tap’. It was lots of fun learning the dance moves.

During the day, we listened to a number of high profile Australian’s talk about their journey as a leader. The speakers were:

  • Her Excellency The Honourable Frances Adamson - Govenor of South Australia
  • Thomas Duncan-Watt – Screenwriter and author
  • Tom Jonas – former captain Port Adelaide Power
  • Jessica Stenson- marathon gold medallist

We learnt about how the speakers became leaders, their life stories and the responsibilities of being a leader. The speakers spoke about how it is ok to fail and how failing can make you a stronger and better person. We took on some of the life lessons of the speakers and how to become better leaders.

During the breaks of the day, we met Ezra the dance instructor, had photos with the guest speakers and played electric piggy.

Overall, we think the best part of the event was dancing after each break, when Hannah was chosen to ask a guest speaker a question and Noah danced on the stage. The bus ride back to school was lots of fun!

The kind of leaders that we want to be for our school are leaders who are respectful, listen to others, express gratitude, take on responsibilities, are open minded and creative. We want to make our school a better place making sure everyone has a safe and fun learning environment. We want to work as a team and be great role models.
