Auslan

We've had a busy start to the term in Auslan. The Grade 3s and 4s have been learning about breakfast foods and Auslan sentence structure. They interviewed their classmates to find out what they had eaten for breakfast and used the information to create a graph. 

The Grade 5s and 6s have been learning to introduce themselves using Deaf protocols and translate introduction information from Auslan to English. They have been working on both their expressive and receptive skills and their progress in Auslan since the beginning of 2024 is incredibly impressive. 

Last week we played a rowdy game of 'WAH-CHA' where students race to swat the correct answer to a question. Check some action shots below.
