Reading at home with your child
Reading with a parent/guardian at home is an invaluable experience for students all the way through primary school. Students who have targeted time to practise reading for homework show greater confidence and independence when reading. As little as 10-20 minutes of reading at home each day is needed for students to show remarkable improvement. Where possible, discussions about texts with your child as they complete their home reading is recommended to strengthen their experience.
