Welcome Back
I would like to extend a warm welcome back to school for students, staff, and families as we begin a lengthy term on Tuesday, 7th October. I hope everyone had the chance to relax and enjoy some downtime over the recent break.
There were plenty of happenings over the holidays at school, including planting, replacement of door handles, general maintenance, removal of waste, and installation of new furniture.
As always, there are many exciting events to look forward to this term, including our Showcase mornings and afternoons, the school fete, Step Up program, and graduation for our Grade 6 students.
In addition to these events, we’re managing the usual complexities of staff selection and contract renewals, determining budgets for 2026, transition, and grade selection.
Hat Policy:This term, all students are required to wear the official school hat. Caps or hats that are not part of the school uniform will not be acceptable. The policy is NO HAT, NO PLAY—students without a hat will be asked to stay in the shade (breezeway) during playtime to ensure their safety.
We are confident it will be a productive and engaging term—one we’re all looking forward to.
Thank you for your continued support.

Safety Education
As part of our ongoing commitment to student safety, we kindly ask you to take some time to talk with your children about cyber safety and general safety measures while at school.
Please remind your children about the importance of:
Working together, we can help create a safe and supportive environment for all our students—both online and at school.
School Clubs

We’re also excited to share that several clubs will be running during school time this term:
These clubs are a wonderful opportunity for students to meet others, socialise, and engage in fun activities. Please encourage your child to participate during lunch breaks—it’s a great way to make new friends and enjoy school even more.

Attendance is currently being closely monitored by the Department of Education as a significant concern, especially when students are frequently late, picked up early, or absent for more than 10 days in a school year. These attendance issues will be addressed by our front office staff and teachers and discussed further during upcoming parent-teacher interviews.
A few important reminders for families:
Open and timely communication between parents and school is essential in addressing attendance concerns early and effectively.
School tours are open every Thursday morning at 10am. If your child is attending 4-year-old kindergarten this year and will be starting school next year, please note that enrolment at the school is required. This process does not happen automatically, so we kindly ask that you come to the office to complete the enrolment.
We also recommend you check Compass and the newsletter for important calendar dates regularly as dates will be added throughout the year.z
