We are sure that at the end of the year, students at CHPS will reflect that this week has been one of the best! Preps will remember their camp day, Year 1’s will recall the day that they stayed at school until 5pm, Year 2’s will tell stories about the night they slept at school, Year 3’s will celebrate their achievements at Toolangi, Year 4’s will recall the courage they showed as they challenged themselves with many activities and the day sang happy birthday to the Principal, Year 5’s will recount their many adventures, including boarding the buses at CHPS in gale force winds, and the Year 6’s will look back at the days they commenced filming their graduation revues. What a school we have!
Thanks to all staff, and parent/carer volunteers who have made these activities possible.
This week all students have also been learning about Diwali. This 5 day celebration is the most important one on the Indian calendar and symbolizes light over darkness, and good over evil. We have particularly enjoyed seeing houses lit up as we drive around the suburbs and learning from our students with Indian heritage about this important festival.
