In Foundation to Grade 2 Physical Education, students are working on the fundamental movement skill of striking. This has included the Two Handed Strike, typically used in sports like Cricket, Baseball and Hockey. They have also practices the Forehand Strike typically used in sports like Tennis and Badminton.
In Grade 3/4 Physical Education, students are engaging in striking and fielding games including Tee-Ball and Modified Cricket. They have had a focus on developing teamwork skills and knowledge of the strategies required to be successful in the sport, along with applying the skill of Two Handed Striking to different situations. In the second half of the term, students will be engaging in net/wall games such as Tennis and Volleyball with the same focus of building teamwork skills, strategic knowledge and movement skills.

They have had a focus on furthering their teamwork skills and knowledge of the strategies required to be successful in the sport, along with applying the movement skills that they have acquired over previous years in PE. In the second half of the term, students will be engaging in net/wall games such as Tennis and Volleyball with the same focus of building teamwork skills, strategic knowledge and movement skills.
