On Monday, during our whole school assembly, the following students were acknowledged and their learning described so we all know why they are worthy recipients of our awards and applause.

PN | Vicente | Congratulations, Vicente! You showed the true spirit of St Martin de Porres by demonstrating love and kindness to all. You used creativity and collaboration to solve problems and care for others. When you saw a friend feeling sad without a hat, you thoughtfully brought a spare the next day so they could join in play. You offered your solution with kindness and patience, showing empathy and understanding. Your actions made a real difference and you should feel very proud of yourself! Well done! |
1C | Sai | For showing excellent collaboration during our zoo excursion. She kindly shared her resources with her buddies and showed patience by letting others go first when there was a big queue for the lockers. This student asked thoughtful questions to the ranger and was fully engaged in all aspects of the day. You were a real credit to our school. Well done Sai |
1O | Suveer | During our excursion to the Werribee Zoo, you demonstrated outstanding curiosity by asking insightful questions, actively exploring your surroundings, and showing interest in learning about the animals and their habitats. In the classroom, you continue to shine by responding promptly to our attention signal and consistently listening carefully to instructions. Well done, Suveer! Keep up the amazing work! |

2A | Saachi | For consistently being a resilient learner, your determination and positive spirit shine through in everything you do. You especially showed your incredible resilience on our excursion to the zoo — even though your feet were sore, you didn’t let it spoil your day. You pushed through with a smile, never once complaining, and made the most of every moment. Your ability to stay positive and keep going, no matter what, is truly inspiring. Well done, Saachi! |

3/4K | Yoshua | For being a motivated learner this week. You returned from your holidays ready to jump back into learning. You showed this by contributing creative ideas to our class poetry brainstorm and applying feedback to uplevel your colour metaphors. Your determination during class has been wonderful to see, especially as you’ve worked hard to overcome challenges and confidently draw and interpret graphs. She enjoys working with her friends to share ideas and solve problems together, demonstrating that she values teamwork and the success of the whole group. 5/6A | Evan | For being a collaborative learner. During inquiry this week, you researched with your group on the Cornish diaspora, adding valuable information to your slideshow. When presenting to the class, you clearly demonstrated your understanding and showed confidence and resilience throughout the process. Well done Evan on your teamwork and effort. |

PN | Laaksh | For being a motivated and enthusiastic learner who approaches every task with energy and curiosity. Laaksh shows wonderful persistence when sounding out words and recording the sounds he hears to create his own imaginative sentences. He eagerly joins in maths games and learning activities, always including and encouraging his classmates. Your positive attitude and commitment to learning make you a shining example for others – well done, Laaksh! |
1C | Oliver | For being a motivated writer this week. This student wrote an excellent information report on giraffes. He used clear headings, detailed paragraphs, and structured his work in a very organised and easy-to-read way. He took his time to research carefully and ensured his writing was presented neatly throughout. Well done Oliver. |
1O | Neon | For your motivation to learn and the wonderful example you set for your peers in 1O. I am so impressed by how quickly and respectfully you respond to our classroom attention signals — you are always one of the first to stop, listen, and show whole-body listening. I also love the positive way you engage with your classmates during learning tasks.
