Staffing News

We would like to inform the school community that Ally and Annette from Camp Australia (Out of School Care) have both informed us that they will no longer be working at Camelot Rise Primary School.

Annette made the decision to retire at the end of term. Annette was a valued member of the Out of School Care team, having work at the school for many years. We wish Annette all the best with her retirement.

Ally has decided to take leave for personal reasons. Ally has been a fantastic coordinator of the program over the past year, and we are very grateful to her for the hard work and dedication to our school.

Both Ally and Annette will be missed.

Parent Contributions 2025

By the end of November, we will inform the school community of the Parent Payments for 2026. The Department of Education has asked schools to itemise the payments. The cost for Parent Payments is discussed and approved at our Finance and School Council meetings prior to being announced to the school community.

Are you leaving CRPS in 2026?

We ask that you let us know if you are moving or have enrolled in another school in 2026. We require this information as soon as possible to establish grade structures for the start of the new school year. If your child is currently in Grades Foundation – 5, and will not be at Camelot Rise in 2026, please notify the school office in writing as soon as possible.

Parent requests for 2026

We are currently planning for 2026 and as part of this process we are determining our class structure and staffing profile to best meet the needs of all students. A great deal of thought, planning and time goes into placing children into classes each year. Every effort is made to place each child in a learning environment that is happy, productive and successful. Class placement is a complex process involving a range of factors and allocations will not be finalised until later in the school year.

We anticipate that we will have seventeen or eighteen classes in 2026. The exact number will be determined by the number of students that we have confirmed for enrolment in 2026.

We do not accept requests for placement with individual teachers, however, we do take into consideration relevant information, based on educational needs, which can help us with the placement process, and we try to place students with at least one known friend, if possible.

If parents have any request for their child / children for 2026 we need this to be put in writing via email to Matthew Coney, Principal, by 4 pm on Friday, 31st October.

  • Curriculum Day on Monday November 3rd, 2025. This day will be used for report writing purposes.
  • Melbourne Cup public holiday Tuesday November 4th

This concludes all pupil free days in 2025.

Final Assembly for the year

One date that our community look forward to is the final assembly of the year because we farewell our grade six children for their final day of primary school after a 7-year journey.

The date and time for this is Thursday 11th, December commencing at 9.15am.

At the assembly we will listen to the Year 6 graduates sing their farewell song, watch the Year 6 PowerPoint and celebrate the year we have had.
