Michael is very experienced in the game of golf and was able to teach the students many golfing skills. Next Monday 25th March, Michael will be returning to the schools to make sure that all of our Year 5 and 6 students have had an opportunity to learn more about golf.

Greater Western Tennis

Good luck to Jemma Howat who will represent the Colac Division at the Greater Western Tennis Championships on Monday 25th March at Hollioake Park in Ballarat. We wish Jemma all the best.

AFL Primary Play Sessions

On Tuesday 26th March, the following classes will be involved in the ‘AFL Primary Play Sessions’ - Foundation ME, Foundation SN, Year 2 FM, Year 2 RB and Year 2 PM. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to experience an exciting AFL program in the lead up the Auskick and the Junior football season.  Students will need to wear their sports uniform, but they may like to bring along a football jumper or other football apparel for the team that they support e.g beanies, scarves etc. Football boots will not be needed as runners will be sufficient. We look forward to learning lots of AFL football skills.

Sacred Heart Athletics Years F-2

On Thursday 28th March, the children from Foundation – Year 2 will participate in the Sacred Heart Junior Athletics Carnival. This will take place at Sacred Heart between recess and lunch time (11:45am – 1:15pm). The children will be involved in a number of sporting activities e.g. High Jump, Egg and Spoon Race, Sprints etc. Parents/Grandparents are welcome to watch their child/children/grandchildren participate. Out Year 6 students will be the leaders of the activities on the day.

This sporting event falls on one of our “casual clothes days”, so can we all please make sure that everyone is wearing clothes appropriate for a sporting event and runners are VITAL. Students are reminded to apply sunscreen before arriving at school and ‘Please’ bring along a drink bottle.
