Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language (TJFL)

Home Stay: Thank you for hosting Niko, a Japanese assistant

Niko, our Japanese assistant stayed at two host families’ houses, the Chen family (Fifi Yr2) and the Kelly family (Alice Yr1 and Sadie Yr2). We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generosity and kindness in hosting Niko during her three-week stay at Gardenvale Primary School. Niko truly enjoyed communicating with the families in English, immersing herself in a different culture, and exploring various sightseeing spots. Your hospitality made her experience unforgettable.

For future host families interested in participating in our program, we encourage you to embrace this unique opportunity to share your culture, language, and traditions with our visiting students. Your generosity not only enriches their experience but also creates lasting memories and friendships that transcend borders. Thank you for opening your homes and hearts to the future Japanese assistants!

* The TJFL program runs twice a year, Feb - March (3 or 4 weeks) and August - September (3 or 4 weeks).

* I will soon create a Google Form for future host families interested in the program to put your name and some homestay details in.
