PFA News
With Term 1 in full swing.... well actually the term is nearly over.... it's finally time for an official welcome to the PFA!
The year has begun so smoothly with all Class Reps doing a wonderful job at keeping great communication. We have had 2 PFA meetings and an AGM.
The Family photo session was a great success and the Wine and Cheese night was such a fun evening! (great photos in last weeks newsletter)
Lots of planning for the year's events has already happened....each year level is allocated one event to oversee. This helps share the load of planning and gets all parents of all year levels involved. These events are always wonderful. Please see the list below and look out for what your child's year level is organising. Any parent can help with any event so if you have a skill or interest in a specific event please reach out...

Throughout the year there will be other fun activities such as the tea towel fundraiser, a cookie dough drive and the usual mango fundraiser. The PFA works closely with the school council to discuss what to use the funds for. We are close to the discussions about the Junior Campus Undercover Learning area as well as bigger building plans at the Senior Campus. I'm also pleased to share that the PFA have funded new games for every year level for wet/ hot day timetables. If there is ever anything you would like for our school please be in touch to share these ideas. It is OUR school for OUR students. Feel free to email me directly robynkrawitz007@gmail.com

DOGS
The first DOGS went well with around 20 dads coming along, including several new prep dads. There was a prep dinner out the back of Hotel Brighton the same night! The DOGS have been figuring out some fun things to do this year, working with the GPS community to access some awesome venues and to support local GPS family businesses. So GPS dads save the date for the following events:
Thursday 28th March Casual drinks at Hotel Brighton (8pm)
Friday 19th April Wolf of the Willows Brewery (7pm)
Thursday 30th May Pizza night at Ohana Pizza (7pm)
More info will be provided via the WhatsApp group, so anyone interested should email me at michael.hennig@bigpond.com to be added to the group (RSVP will be required).
MOTHER'S DAY
As mentioned early next term is the Mother's Day event. On Thursday 9th May join the GPS mums for a night of fun and dancing! Ticket includes a welcome drink, canapes and a night to remember. The event is at 7pm at Armadale Bowls club, Sussex Road South Caulfield, Dresscode: A touch of bling.
