From the Classroom - B1  (Lauren)

B1 have had a very busy Term 1!  We can’t believe the term is nearly over! We are looking forward to the final days of term and can’t wait to participate in the MRPS Ball Sports Day and MRPS Athletics Day.

In the classroom, during Reading we have been learning how to summarise fiction and nonfiction texts. We have used different scaffolds including a BME (beginning, middle, end), 5 Finger Retell, SWBST (Something, Wanted, But, So Then), and sketch in chunks.  Each of the scaffolds helps us to include all the important parts that have happened in the text and support us when we are writing a summary or telling a friend what happened in the story.
